SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Fairgoers wanting to experience the excitement of unlimited rides on the Carnival Midway and Adventure Village attractions can purchase a Mega Pass for $55 if they act quickly. The final day the pass will be sold for $55 is Saturday, July 16.
To purchase a pass, fairgoers should stop by the Emmerson Building, which is located on Main Street, north of Ethnic Village. The Emmerson Building is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It also will be open Saturday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for last-minute sales.
Buyers can also call the Mega Pass office, 217-782-0775, during those hours to order by phone with their Visa or Master Card. Mega Pass can also be purchased through the Illinois State Fair website, http://www.illinoisstatefair.info/. Beginning July 18, the price will increase to $65.
The Mega Pass is good for unlimited amusement rides in Adventure Village and the Carnival Midway for all ten days of the fair, including Preview Night, Aug. 11. It does not, however, include entry to the fair or rides on the Tram, Sky Glide and Giant Slide.
