The Governor’s Sale of Champions is a time honored
event in which, the Junior Grand Champion and Land of Lincoln Steer, Barrow,
Wether, Meat Goat, Poultry Meat Pen and Rabbit Meat Pen are sold. The proceeds
from this sale go towards helping 4-H and FFA members attend college, purchase
breeding animals and develop future careers. This year the Sale of
Champions is going to be bigger and better than ever! The Sale of Champions is
moving back to the Coliseum after a long stint of being held in the Livestock
Building. It will be held on Agriculture Day, Tuesday, August 18th
at 4:00 pm. This is an event that you will not want to miss! New this year, everyone who attends the Sale of Champions will be treated to free Prairie Farms Ice Cream!!!
