HEAD EAST TO PLAY 2011 ILLINOIS STATE FAIR

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Head East will perform at the Illinois State Fair Friday, Aug. 19, replacing April Wine in the Classic Rock-a-Palooza show that also features The Tubes, Loverboy and 38 Special. 

Head East, whose original members grew up in south central Illinois, catapulted to rock stardom in the mid-1970s when its album "Flat As A Pancake" sold more than 500,000 copies and was certified gold. The band's hits include "Love Me Tonight," "Since You Been Gone" and the rock anthem "Never Been Any Reason." 

The Classic Rock-a-Palooza concert begins at 5 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. The Tubes will open the show. Sets by Head East, Loverboy and 38 Special will follow.
